    • Across the Atlantic ~ Arrival in Paris ~ Convent in Loisy ~ Rouen

Depart the USA today on board an overnight transatlantic flight to Paris, arriving the following day. Enjoy a full meal service as well as in-flight entertainment such as movies, music, etc.

Upon our arrival in Paris, we will be welcomed at the airport exit by our local guide. We will board our luxury motorcoach and make our way to the nearby convent of the Sisters Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus at Vers-sur-Launette (Loisy) to begin our pilgrimage with Holy Mass in their private chapel followed by a light lunch. Following our time with the sisters, we will board our motorcoach and transfer to Rouen. We will see half-timbered houses, the magnificent Gothic Cathedral painted by Claude Monet, and the grand clock tower. We will also remember the great French saint, Joan of Arc, as we visit the monuments dedicated to her. Such memorials include the place of her martyrdom in 1431. After checking into our hotel, we will gather for a festive group welcome dinner (included). Overnight in Rouen. (D)

    Day 3 - May 27
    • ICKSP Parish of St. Patrice ~ The Sanctuary of Lisieux ~ Caen

Following breakfast and hotel check out, we board our motorcoach and make our way to Mass at the church of Saint Patrice, the local ICKSP parish in Rouen. Following Mass, we will begin our journey to Lisieux where we will spend the whole day on pilgrimage at the Sanctuary of St. Thérèse. Discover the mighty basilica and watch a movie about the life of St. Thérèse, the humble nun who went on to be declared a “Doctor of the Church.” Visit the “Buissonnets,” the family home where Thérèse spent her childhood. Then discover the Carmelite convent where she entered Carmel and remained cloistered until her death. We will make time to pray by her mortal remains in the convent chapel. Then we will visit the cathedral of Saint Peter where the Martin family went to Mass regularly. Lunch on our own in Lisieux with free time to pray and purchase religious souvenirs. Later in the afternoon, we will board our motorcoach and transfer to Caen for our hotel check-in. Dinner on our own. Overnight in Caen. (B)

    Day 4 - May 28
    • The Landing Beaches of Normandy

Following breakfast, we will board our motorcoach and transfer for Mass at the Church of Saint Savior. Following Mass, we will begin our day trip to the Landing Beaches of Normandy. On June 6, 1944 thousands of soldiers, sailors, and airmen stormed the beaches of Normandy to free France from the Nazi stronghold. Thousands of young soldiers died that first day in the name of liberty and the coast of Normandy still has the indelible scars of the event. Our visit will include Omaha Beach and Bénouville bridge, best known as Pegasus bridge. We will continue onto Arromanches where we will see the WWII maritime vestiges of what made the greatest artificial port ever created. All the armoured vehicles, trucks, supplies and men came into France after D-Day through this port. Following lunch on our own, we will make our way to the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer. Later in the afternoon, we will board our motorcoach for our return transfer back to Caen. Dinner on our own. Overnight in Caen. (B)

    Day 5 - May 29
    • Mont-Saint-Michel

Following breakfast and hotel check out, we will spend the whole day exploring the breathtaking site of Mont-Saint-Michel. On our way there, we will stop at the church of Notre-Dame in Savigny for Mass. Upon our arrival at Mont-Saint-Michel, we will stroll through the charming village with stone houses and narrow streets, built on a rock off the coast of Normandy. The visit begins with the bus drop-off in the parking lot situated about 2.5 kilometers from the village citadel. A brief walk will take us to the free shuttle-bus that will drive us within 250 meters of the entrance to the medieval village. From there, it is an easy walk through the village by the paved main street for about 200 meters. For those willing, from the parish church there begins the "Grand Degré," a 350-step climb up to the monastery at the top (there is no elevator). We will visit the monastery, still functioning today with a monastic community. Later in the afternoon, we will make our way back to the bus and transfer to the nearby sea-side town of Saint-Malo. Hotel check-in and dinner on our own. Overnight in Saint-Malo. (B)

    Day 6 - May 30
    • Our Lady of Pontmain ~ Sanctuary of Sainte-Anne d'Auray

After breakfast and hotel check out, we will board our motorcoach and transfer for Mass at the Chapel of Saint Joseph in Saint-Malo. Following Mass, we will continue with a morning visit to the Sanctuary of Pontmain, the site of an approved Marian apparition. In 1871, when France had been invaded by the Prussians, four children witnessed a "beautiful lady" wearing a blue dress with stars in the sky of Pontmain. The Virgin gave them this message, "But pray, my children. God will answer your prayer very soon. My Son allows himself to be touched.” Our visit will include the parish church, the barn where the villagers came to witness the apparition, and the apparition museum. Free time for lunch. Our afternoon journey will next take us to the Sanctuary of Saint Anne d'Auray where multiple apparitions of St. Anne, the mother of the Virgin Mary, have been recognized and approved by the Church. After, we will transfer to Vanne for our hotel check in and a festive group dinner served with wine (included). Overnight in Vannes. (B, D)

Upon our arrival, we will enjoy a free day at one of the most popular historical and cultural parks in the world, where visitors travel back in time on an unforgettable journey from Roman times until today, with shows and villages with spectacular scenery. Visitors plunge into the great themes of French history: King Clovis, St. Joan of Arc, St. Louis IX, and many others. Visitors can also have a private behind-the-scenes visit of the stable of the 230 horses used for the shows and of the medieval falconry, with its over 800 birds.
