Join Fr. Scott Morgan & Fr. Robert Hale on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land!

Stand on sacred ground to trace the steps of Jesus on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Sacred Scripture comes to life as you walk in Christ’s footsteps—to re-live His holy life, teachings, and miracles. Walk where Jesus preached the first Gospels, performed miracles, and inspired His followers to embark on a journey of faith and fellowship.

Float on the waters of the Dead Sea, pause in prayer and reflection at the Mount of Beatitudes, and explore Bethany beyond the Jordan. These inspiring experiences are just a few of the ways in which you’ll be awed by the places where the origin of Christianity was born.

After breakfast, we will set out to explore the magnificent city and archaeological remains of Caesarea, once the capital of the Roman province. From Caesarea, we will travel north to the city of Haifa and visit Stella Maris, the Carmelite monastery consecrated to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, which stands atop the cave where Elijah lived. Afterwards, we will travel to Nazareth. We will visit and celebrate Mass in the Church of the Annunciation that stands atop the house of Mary. • Cana ~ Tabgha ~ St. Peter's Primacy ~ Capernaum ~ Mount of Beatitudes ~ Sea of Galilee

After breakfast, we will start the day with Mass in Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed His first miracle changing water into wine at the request of His mother (John 2:1-11). In Cana, we will visit the Franciscan Chapel. Those among us who wish may renew their wedding vows in the chapel. Afterwards, we will drive to Tabgha on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus fed the crowd of 5,000. We will also visit the site known as “Peter’s Primacy” where Jesus appeared to His disciples for the third time after His Resurrection and told Peter to “feed my lambs; feed my sheep” (John 21:9). We then take a short drive to Capernaum, the biblical village and hometown of Jesus. There we will see the house of the mother-in-law of Peter and an ancient synagogue that dates back to the time of Jesus and where much of His teaching took place. Enjoy St. Peter’s Fish for lunch. Then we will continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of Jesus’ great Sermon on the Mount. We will enjoy the view of the enchanting gardens while we reflect on Jesus’ sermon. Finish our day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, followed by a visit to the Ancient Boat Museum that houses a 2000-year-old fishing boat, providing a good example of how fishing boats looked during the time of Jesus. Return to Nazareth for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)

One of our earlier visits will be to the Church of Pater Noster, commonly believed to be the spot from where Jesus ascended to heaven. We will walk along the Palm Sunday path and stop at the beautiful church, Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept (Luke 19:41). We continue along the Jewish cemetery that overlooks the Eastern (Golden) Gate - known as the Thrones of Judgment (Psalm 122). Among the 2,000 year-old olive trees, we will visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations where we will see the Rock of Agony on which Jesus prayed. We will also visit the nearby Gethsemane cave where Jesus was arrested. Later on, we will make our way to the Israel Museum. We begin our final full day with a powerfully spiritual walk along the Via Dolorosa (the Sorrowful Way). We begin this walk at Antonia Fortress where Jesus was condemned to death by Pilate. We will walk along the Stations of the Cross and through the markets of the Old City to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Here is the site of Calvary and the empty tomb of Christ. It is here that we will celebrate Mass in the church. We then return back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we will visit the Pools of Bethesda, where the healing of the paralyzed took place (John 5). We will have the opportunity to praise the Lord with hymns in the nearby perfectly intact Crusader Church of Saint Anne.  In the afternoon, we will have time to revisit the Old City of Jerusalem. We close this holy pilgrimage with a special farewell dinner in Jerusalem with music and folklore. Return to hotel and final overnight in Jerusalem. (B, L, D)

The next day, we wish everyone "shalom" and revel in our memories as the bus transports us to the airport for our flight home. (B)
