    • Walk Through History

Visiting Rome offers a uniquely Catholic experience — one that is simultaneously beautiful, holy, and awe-inspiring. The Pope, the churches, the saints, the art, it’s one breathtaking moment after another.

It’s a pilgrimage set in one of the most gorgeous countries in the world, with cities, sunsets, food, and wine that are simply unforgettable. And through it all you’ll be reminded of the fullness of God and the life He’s given us.

Group pilgrimages to Rome start at a base fee for a 9-day pilgrimage at $3,200 per person/double occupancy for a minimum of 15 paying pilgrims. Each additional day is $200 per person. The priest always goes for free and for every 15 paying pilgrims, additional free tickets are complementary.

Depart the USA today on board your overnight transatlantic jet flight to Rome, arriving the following day. Enjoy a full meal service as well as in-flight entertainment such as movies, music, etc.

Your spiritual pilgrimage begins with your arrival in Rome. After arriving at our guesthouse, we will prayerfully start our pilgrimage with Mass in the guesthouse chapel and a brief orientation meeting followed by time to freshen up. After lunch, we will take a leisurely walk to St. Peter’s Square.

We will end the day early with the Scavi Tour which comprises of visiting the necropolis of St. Peter’s Basilica ending with the prayerful veneration of the bones of St. Peter. The afternoon and evening is free to unpack, rest, and explore.

    Day 3
    • A Day of Relics

After breakfast with the Sisters, we will make our way to the church called Holy Cross in Jerusalem. This church houses some of the holiest relics in Rome including large fragments of the True Cross, a nail from the Crucifixion, fragments of the Grotto of the Nativity and the Holy Sepulchre, the finger of Doubting Thomas, the cross-beam of the Good Thief's cross, and two thorns from the Crown of Jesus.

From there, we will visit the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, the official Cathedral of the Pope. We then cross the street for the blessed opportunity to ascend the Holy Steps, the very steps that Christ ascended to meet with Pontius Pilate.

Following lunch, we will visit and celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary Major, one of the four Major Basilicas. The evening is free to explore, shop, and dine.

    Day 4
    • Angelus with the Pope ~ Central Rome

After breakfast, we will have the privilege to tour St. Peter’s Basilica. Additionally, pilgrims will have the optional opportunity to climb the 500+ stairs to the top of the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica.

Following Sunday Mass at the Chair of Peter, we will walk outside to St. Peter’s Square to pray the Angelus with the Pope. After lunch in Piazza Navona, we will visit St. Agnes in Agony, the Pantheon, St. Mary above Minerva, and the Church of Jesus.

After an early breakfast, we will depart for Mass in the final Major Basilica, St. Paul Outside the Walls. Among the many beautiful things in this basilica, look for the Chains of St. Paul and the Portraits of the Popes.

After Mass, we will head to Termini station where we will board our train for Assisi. Upon arrival in Assisi, we will visit the Basilica of St. Clare where Francis' San Damiano crucifix is housed.

We close the evening with a spectacular winery tour, tasting, and 4-course Umbrian dinner at our favority local winery.

    Day 6

Upon waking to the beauty of Assisi, we will begin the day in the Basilica of St. Francis where we will celebrate Mass in one of their many chapels.

We will end our time in Assisi by boarding an afternoon train back to Rome where upon arrival, the evening will be free.

    Day 7
    • Papal Audience ~ Trastevere

After an early breakfast, we leave for St. Peter's Square to get front row seats for the Wednesday Papal Audience. After the audience, we will have time for lunch and to return our newly blessed items to our rooms.

After Lunch, we will explore one of the most charming and romantic neighborhoods of Rome: Trastevere. We will visit both the Basilicas of St. Mary (Mass) and St. Cecilia in Trastevere. While at St. Cecilia, the sister curators of the basilica will walk us down to the excavation of St. Cecilia's house and ultimately, her tomb.

    Day 8 & 9
    • Vatican Museums, Gardens, & the Sistine Chapel ~ Our Journey Back Home

Our final full day in Rome will be spent by taking a private guided tour of the Vatican Museums, Vatican Gardens, and the Sistine Chapel. The rest of the day is intentionally planned free time to give pilgrims the opportunity to visit sites that we did not visit as a group.

The next morning, with vivid memories of Rome and Assisi, we transfer to the airport and board the return flight back to the USA, arriving the same day.
